Simon, 39, is accused of butchering his brother to death in Navrongo-Vrannea, a suburb in the Upper East region’s Kassena-Nankana District.

The incident occurred as a result of a misunderstanding between the siblings.

The tragic aspect of the incident is that the deceased, identified as Ntwowene, was buried around 11 p.m. on the very same fateful day.

According to the deceased’s brother, Eric Akendoba, who spoke to EZRA TV/FM the incident was a revenge attempt by the suspect on the deceased.

“I received a call from one of my relatives in Navrongo saying that Ntwowene had been murdered by his biological brother and he had been buried at around 11 PM. After further questioning, my relative revealed that the community’s elders were informed of the tragic incident and gave them the order to bury him at night”, he said

According to available information, the suspect has been apprehended by the police.
