The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has directed two committees of Parliament to investigate the COVID-19 expenditure incurred by the government since the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020.

The Committees on Finance and Health are to submit their report to the House in the first week of the next meeting of the House in October, this year.

The two committees are also to probe the receipt and application of COVID-19 funds by the government.

In authority of this Ohene Addo of Plan B Fm had an eloquent interview with Mr. Osei Bonsu a Political Analyst on Ebanoosen and he stated that ,
“there’s nothing wrong in investigating because investigations does not only bring the wrongs but also the rights so there’s nothing wrong with them wanting to understand something but what they have to know is that Budget is different from expenditure incurred because sometimes you spend to exceed your budget to do the needful”.

He also said that it high time these political parties get to know that opposing everything does not make you a better Alternative if you oppose you tell us what is the best to be done.

He added that the speaker he believes knows what he is doing but the partisan cry in parliament at this time is not right we need urgent solutions from both opposition and incumbent to help save the economy.
