Three people namely Kwabena Bobie Ansah, Listowell Nana Kusi and Mensah Thompson have been convicted to pay an amount of 10 million Ghana cedis for perjury. The three were found guilty for lying against President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and His children. The lies was actually orchestrated to tarnish his image for nothing.

The convicted three people reportedly came out with lies that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has given out Ghana’s Presidential jet to his brother and children to go for shopping at London during the 2021 Christmas season.

The lie was widely shared by opposition NDC communicators on many platforms to disgrace the President. The Ghana Armed Forces later debunked the lies of the three men. It didn’t end there, a suit of Defamation at the High Court was initiated.

That was when Bobie Ansah and Mensah Thompson begged and accepted that they actually spoke lies because they don’t have any evidence. Listowell Nana Kusi was however trialed in absentia because he refused make appearance.

Today, the High Court presided by Justice Edward Ekow Baiden says they should pay 10 million Ghana cedis for their lies.
