Mr. Alexander Koomson an Assistant Auditor General who doubles as the board chairman of Brakwa Breman Rural Bank has pleaded with rural and community banks to support small business and enterprises in their areas to expand.
Mr Alex speaking on Plan B Fm’s Ebaanosen hosted by Nkosuo Hene stated that it is the responsibility of banks to motivate and give flexible loans to the infant businesses to help them matchup with the big ones.
According to the Board Chairman, giving flexible loans as well as ensuring it payment and also tightening the internal control mechanisms helps a bank to make more profit and women In Development who were mostly loaned by their Bank never defaulted on payment.
“I will take this opportunity to also advise individuals and especially petty traders to have confidence in Rural and Community Banks because they provide unique services to the Rural Communities” Mr. Koomson added.
