Embattled District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho in the Ashanti Region, Yaw Danso, has rendered an unqualified apology to the members of his assembly and to the general public for telling them( the assembly members) that he was dead when some of them complained that he was nowhere to be found.
Yaw Danso in an interview with a journalist said that the assembly members who were complaining about not seeing him should be told that he is dead. This received a lot of backlash from the general public.
But barely 72 hours after the controversial interview, the DCE has apologised his unsavory comment, saying that,” the interview for all intents and purposes was not to malign or disrespect my honourable assembly members and by extension the good people of Bosome Freho and Ghanaians at large.”
“…Notwithstanding, I unreservedly apologise for saying “tell them I am dead” and plead with Nananom from Bosome Freho, my distinguished assembly members, the good people of Bosome Freho and Ghanaians to pardon me for my goof,” he explained in the statement.
Yaw Danso is facing possible impeachment from his assembly members for not working in the interest of the assembly and assembly members.
