They explained that the child welfare Clinic is a free service that allows parents to have babies below 2 years of age get weighed and immunized with Ghana Health Service-approved vaccines.
They revealed that present at the welfare clinic are personnel from the Ghana Births Registry who assist with the securing of birth certificates for babies born within the district and It is an initiative of the Ghana Health Service so it is offered at no cost to patients.
They also said that the only thing you required to present at the welfare clinic Is the birth records of your child and these will be presented on your first visit, after which you will be issued an immunization card which you are to present at each visit.
They stated that Child welfare clinics serve all families with children in all matters related to child health.
“The aim of a child welfare clinic is to guarantee that the child grows and develops well and stays healthy” they said.
“A child welfare clinic helps families to understand that healthy ways of life are important for a child from the early years on”.
“A child welfare clinic also guides families into making right decisions for attaining healthy ways of life.”
They concluded that the child welfare clinic is there to make taking records of your wards health easy so parents should do well to take their wards.
