The Christian Council of Ghana says it is working with its members to ensure that churches in the country are safe, following a caution from the National Security Ministry over being a potential target for terrorist attacks.
According to the council, all churches under its umbrella have been directed on steps to take to protect the lives of their members in the wake of the threat, and regular trainings are being done in this regard.
In Authority of this Bohyeba Afriyie of plan B Fm had eloquent interview with the National president for clergy Forum Association Ghana Rev Paul Fifi Baidoo and here is what he had to say About the statement from national security to churches.
He said that the church is spiritually equipped in terms of security All though they have guards and some few physical security measures they can take they are not the right institution to be cautioned Against terrorist.
He stated that the national security should invest more time in to educating All Ghanaians and Also Gathering information and intelligence from neighboring Countries who have been Attacked by terrorist Before to help them know how to prepare for Any sort or style they strike our country with.
He Added that the church will do well to be vigilant but what is the guarantee that the church is the only Area Approved for Attack.
