The Black Satellites of Ghana will miss out on the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt after failure to progress from their group in the WAFU B U20 Championship in Niger.

The satellites who are the defending Champions were beaten 2-1 by Burkina Faso in their final Group B game.

Ghana played a must-win game with Burkina after losing 2-0 to Nigeria in the opener.

The Satellites fell behind in the first half but equalized through Mohamed Yahaya.

The Burkinab Faso team had to wait till the 88th minute and they stun Ghana to win 2-1 and progress alongside Nigeria from Group B.

This result means the Black Satellites will not play at the Africa U20 Cup of Nations in 2023 in Egypt because only the winner and the runner up will qualify to the tourney.
