Fire razes Down Warehouse At Ketan

35 Wooden Structures Razed To The Ground At Darkuman
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Fire has engulfed a warehouse at the Ketan Railway Station on Thursday, March 31.

The building which serves as a storage area for expired coal tar before it is disposed off on the instructions of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was completely razed down by the fire.

Through the quick intervention of the Fire Service team, the fire was contained and did not spread any further.
The cause of the fire is yet to be known but it’s believed human activity caused it.

Some eyewitnesses who spoke to Skyy Power 93.5FM indicated that they got to the scene when they saw that thick smoke has engulfed the atmosphere. They however thought it was due to an incoming rain but thought otherwise when they started to feel the heat of the fire at their various homes.
