Three Illegal Sand Winners, Eight Workers, And Five Taskforce Personnel Arrested at Obom

The Ga South security council has arrested three (3) illegal sand winners, eight (8) workers, and five (5) taskforce personnel at Obom in the Greater Accra Region.

According to the Assemblyman for Ga South Municipality, Joseph Nyani, three (3) sand winners were caught digging out sand of which they were not permitted or authorized to do so.

The eight (8) workers were seen helping the sand winners and due to that, they have destroyed farmland worth ten (10) acres.

The five (5) taskforce personnel came from Nsawam to do business in Accra which is illegal.

Joseph Nyani said, the three (3) illegal sand winners, eight (8) workers, and five (5) taskforce personnel will be arraigned in court so that it will serve as a deterrent to others.
