The Internal Audit Of GES Must Work Efficiently To Produce An Unbiased Report – Educationist

Members of the Association of Ghana Education Service Internal Auditors have been urged to continuously update and improve upon their competencies to adequately manage and account for public resources.

Deputy Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency, Thomas Thompson-Ayei indicated that audit infractions at the Ghana Education Service have been identified in the Auditor-General’s reports to Parliament over the past few years.

Mr Mathew Nyaba Educationist and a lecturer Gabanga college education speaking to plan B Fm’s Bohyeba Afriyie on Ebanoosen encouraged members of the GES Audit Unit to adopt an unbiased mental attitude in the execution of their Duties.

He said that over the periods the Audit report For GES is mostly not enough.

He added that the Audit unit must work extra hard to provide a good Audit report to help improve Ghana Education Service Management Efficiency.

He Explained that the role of the Internal Auditor seeks to sharpen the skills and knowledge of participants on various topics and update them on current internal audit issues.

He concluded that Internal Audit will also allow participants to interact, share ideas and learn new things with regards to their ethical and professional standards.
