Treat All Students Equally, They Are All Ghanaians- GNACOPS

Treat All Students Equally, They Are All Ghanaians- GNACOPS
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Council of Private Schools has urged the Ghana Education Service to ensure private school pupils are equally placed in Category A or top schools as those from the public sector.

The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) who made the appeal said the outfit has observed GES prioritizes students from public schools over those from the private sector during the school placement.

Mr Samuel Nyamekye Public Relations Officer for Ghana National Council Of Private Schools in an interview with Bohyeba Afriyie on Plan B Fm’s ‘Ebaanosen‘ revealed that there are 73 category A schools in Ghana and the Government allots 30% of it to students from the Government junior high schools.

He said that it is unfair to deny some one a good school despite doing very well in the basic Education certificate Examination because he or she graduated from a private school.

He concluded that all students are Ghanaians and must be given Equal chances .
