Some residents of the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis are outraged over signboards with Chinese inscriptions at the construction site of the PTC interchange.
This comes after some residents lodged complaints to Skyy Power 93.5FM over the illegibility to read meaning into the signboards at the site.
Syno-Hydro Constructions Limited, a Chinese company responsible for the project, have been confronted on several occasions in relation to the signpost but have fallen on deaf ears.
A resident who spoke to Skyy News said, Ghana is an English speaking country and the Chinese language is not even an option in Ghana for a project being funded by the Ghana government on Ghanaian soil to have its descriptions in the Chinese language.
According to him, it is disrespectful for the unofficial Chinese language to be prioritised over the official Ghana language and even that, how many Ghanaians can read meaning into the Chinese language.
Residents are agitated and are still hoping that the signboards will be completely changed to an English only language since Ghana is an English speaking country.
