Trader Burnt Into Ashes In Sunyani

A 40-year old man identified as Kwadwo Bene has reportedly died from inferno that engulfed a wooden structure he abodes while asleep.

Residents who spoke to our reporter Kwadwo Oppong Kyekyeku revealed, attempts to save the victim was unsuccessful as the fire ravaged on.

The charred body of Bene, a trader by profession was discovered by the personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on Thursday morning at Akuoku Electoral Area (Area Four) in the Sunyani municipality.

The cause of the fire is unknown as firefighters are yet to launch their investigations.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue at the time of filing this report.

In a related development, fire also destroyed shops near University of Energy and Natural Resources (UNER) where several properties worth millions of Ghana cedis.
