Do Not Be Torn Between Right And Wrong About Bench Mark Value Because Of Pressure From GUTA ( CIMAG To Government)
The centre for international maritime Affairs Ghana (CIMAG) strongly believes that the closure of Wilmer Africa’s cooking oil production is just the tip of an iceberg as the Government continues to bow to the pressure of importers of finished products by reversing the suspension of the benchmark value policy.

Mr Albert Derrick fiatui Executive Director for Centre For International Maritime Affairs Ghana in an interview with Bohyeba Afriyie on PlanB FM’s Ebanoosen said they are Ghanaians and wouldn’t wish anything bad for Ghana but the bench mark value is clearly a threat to local manufacturers.

He revealed that Government is considering halting the suspension because of the pressure being mounted on them by GUTA.

He concluded that their point is not scrapping it completely but it shouldn’t affect product that are produced in Ghana as well .
