Amenfi East: Gold Dealer Kidnapped From Wasa Gyapa

A businessman and a well-known gold dealer whose name has been given as Mr Obeng is reported to have been kidnapped by unknown men in the Amenfi East District of the Western Region.

The incident which was reported by one Madam Abena Nyame in an interview with Oyerepa TV reporter and Asona fm presenter,Agya Yaw Obeng.

According to her, the kidnap took place early Monday morning around 6:30 am at his residence at Wasa Gyapa.

Madam Abena Nyame in her narration said the kidnappers were heavily armed to the tooth but had covered their faces to prevent them from being identified.

They picked him in his Toyota Hilux pickup and speedily left.

A brother to the businessman whose name was given as Opoku who also spoke about the kidnap expressed his shock at the news said “we are all shocked this could happen our brother. I don’t think he has any issues with people and so I don’t know why they will do that to him. We are still looking for him and we’ve made calls to people close to him but to no avail”.

Meanwhile when MyNewsGh.com reached out the Police in Charge of the case DSP Selorm Setorglo refused to comment because he “Is busy attending to a case”.
