Mr. David Amoateng, President of Traders Advocacy Group Ghana has revealed that his association is not against the Government helping Association of Ghana industries but they are not in support of the Government giving the money to them , they suggest that the money should rather given be to those who supply the industry with raw materials.

Mr Amoateng in an interview with Nkosuo Hene on Plan B FM’s Ebaanosen disclosed that TAGG is a progressive Group with it  main objective  to develop the trade industry, so they can never be against anything that will help the industry, they are very much happy about the one district one factory initiative but all they ask is for the Government to invest the money in the raw material industry and that will help more.

He also said that if the Government is soo much passionate about helping the growth of local manufacturers he should then establish more raw material factories here in Ghana because if you set a factory who will still import raw materials for production then the prices of the finished products will be the same or higher price as the imported finish products

He concluded that they have documented all of their suggestions and presented it to the trade and finance ministry and are set to meet them for an interaction on Tuesday January 18 2021.
