Member of parliament for Krachi West Constituency, Hon Helen Adjoa Ntoso has disclosed that some top officials are chasing some 8 members of parliament who has refused to accept LGBTQ+ to accept it in the country despite presenting LGBTQ bill in parliament. Homosexual issue in Ghana been a major concern last year and people are waiting to see how it will end.
The member of parliament speaking at Kete- Krachi lake side today, Sunday, 16th January, 2022 at church of pentecost said that there is no way LGBTQ+ will be accepted in Ghana.
She revealed that some top officials are chasing 8 MPs including her with huge amount of money to accept the LGBTQ+ in Ghana as they are the MPs refusing to let it happen. She said what Gays and lesbians are doing is madness and shameful and no any reasonable human being will accept them. According to her, LGBTQ+ people know that what they are doing is not good but acting as if it is good which is paining her.
The MP revealed while speaking to the congregation that they (8 MPs) have refused to accept the money offered to them and due to that these people have planned to go to their various constituencies to share money to many people and influence them against them ahead of next election. She said the plan of these people were to let these 8 MPs who stood ground for LGBTQ bill to lose their parliamentary seat in 2024 to help them have their way but God will disappoint them.
Hon Helen Ntoso expressed that as far as the Christian council, Peace council, Islamic groups, Pentecostal church and Ghanaians are in support of them, LGBTQ would not happen in Ghana.
She informed the public that if parliament resume sitting, they will raise the issue again in the august house of parliament and make sure LGBTQ brouhaha is silence.
However, the member of parliament couldn’t disclosed the amount of money being presented to them by these top officials but from her tone of language, they have been approached by some people whom they did not agree with.
