The General Secretary for College of Education Teachers Association of Ghana, Mr. Nathan Ohene Gyan said they are yet t to discuss in a council meeting whether to accept the promise of Government to pay them on January 21, 2022 and resume work or not.
In an interview with Bohyeba Afriyie, on Plan B FM’s Ebaanosen, Mr Nathan Ohene Gyan revealed that they had a meeting which was headed by the Deputy Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, Bright Wereko Brobbey and their leaders had agree to the fact the members of their association have not been treated fairly and so they asked them to give them some time to deliberate on how to resolve the issue.
He also indicated that they did give them some time to do just that and on authority of their words they will be paid all outstanding allowances by January 21 2022.
He concluded that they are yet to communicate the outcome of the meeting to other members of the board in a council meeting, and Ghanaians will be informed of the outcome.
