President of Ghana Oil Palm Association, Mr Samuel Avaala has revealed some of the commendable performances of the Government in 2021.
In an interview on Plan B FM ‘Ebaanosen’ with Bohyeba Afriyie, Mr. Avaala seemed so happy with the performance of the Government, he stated that in the year 2021 everything about their work went so well.
“In the year 2021 production was good, the world market price was favorable but our only problem was the bench mark value which was only benefiting importers and was making local manufacturers loose this is because bench mark value allowed for imported goods to be very affordable in the market and locally made goods very expensive and so the removal of it is a dream come through for us”
He concluded that they are looking forward to the board to reconstitute the planting of more tree clause initiative which is going to help production of oils and others in Ghana and this will help them compete with importers since the free market Economy in Ghana allows for importation of goods.
