Dr. Akuffo Dampare pays a peace visit to Asamankese on December 21, 2021 to aid settle the chieftaincy dispute threatening the lives and properties of the good people of Asamankese.
Chief of Aworasa, Barima pobi Asomanin || has allegedly organized some men to besiege the Asamankese palace to install himself as the chief under the watchful eyes of Barima pobi Asomanin the chief of kwaaman.
The okye hene , osagyefo Amoaten then wrote to the inspector General of police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, to deploy officers to Asamankese following the chieftaincy dispute on Monday, December 20.
Following this statement released via a letter directed to the Inspector General of Police, Dr Akuffo Dampare on December 21 honored the peace invite to Asamankese.
According to Plan B FM’s reporter Freeman on ‘Ebaanosen’ with Bohyeba Afriyie, the IGP’s visit to Asamankese is one that has been of good effect on the Chieftaincy dispute.
He reported that the IGP Assured them of 24 hour protection by the police and will also make sure all persons who are the brains behind the dispute are dealt with the laws of the land .
He indicated that the people warmly received the IGP and his message. He also reported 38 people including the one man initiator all in police custody in Accra
He concluded that the youth of Asamankese really did fight for the safety of the people but unfortunately 9 persons were injured, 6 serious cases transferred to Accra and the rest receiving treatment in Asamankese.
