There Is Create, Loot, And Share At The Finance Ministry With Regards To The E-Levy – Sam George

There Is Create, Loot, And Share At The Finance Ministry With Regards To The E-Levy – Sam George

The Member of Parliament for the Ningo Prampram Constituency, Samuel Nartey George, has alleged that in the coming weeks he will put out information about the create, loot, and share that is going on at the Ministry of Finance with regards to the collection of the proposed E-Levy.

Sam George made this disclosure via phone call on ‘THE BIG ISSUE’ on CITI television yesterday, 11th December 2021, when he gave his opinion about the allocation of the 241 million Ghana cedis for the collection of the proposed E-Levy.

According to Sam George, the allocation of the 241 million Ghana cedis for the collection of the E-Levy is another create, loot, and share by this government.

Sam George indicated that it makes no sense that the government is going to pay 241 million Ghana cedis to an entity to collect a E-Levy that is supposed to be used to meet the needs of Ghanaians.

He asked why the government needs a new entity to collect these taxes and why can’t they use the existing platforms?

“We don’t need to have a create, loot, and scheme where the ministry of Finance has already selected a company, and in the coming weeks, I will be putting out information about the create, loot, and share that is going on at the ministry of Finance.”

Sam George alleged that the Ministry of Finance have already selected a company that is supposed to be the recipient of the 241 million Ghana cedis, and have brought in new shareholders to change the shareholding of the company that already exist to allow for the interest of the persons who are cooking this deal.

“I’ve had the information and it’s in my custody, and I will be putting it out for Ghanaians to see that the tax that we don’t even want them to collect, they’ve started sharing the money by creating new shareholding structures in the company, and this is a Fintech in Ghana that does not have the competence to do what it says.”

Sam George added that everything about this E-Levy is a sham, and so, we cannot allow this to continue in this country.
