Nine people are reported dead after a VIP Bus with Registration Number, 5693-15, on which they were travelling to Wa in the Upper West Region, got involved in an accident at Gindabour in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region.

An eyewitness who gave his name as Joseph Abagna revealed that all he heard was a huge sound while he was fetching firewood for supper. He claimed he quickly had the intuition that it might surely be an accident.

He immediately dashed to the place and found bodies scattered around lifeless, some human body parts severed off, and the sound of the morning crying for help too.

The eyewitness has it that he immediately asked another person to place an emergency call which he did.

The dead and injured have been conveyed to the Upper West Regional Hospital.
