Two Drivers Dead In A Road Crash At Asikesu

Driver Cries Out After Hitting A Woman To Death To Save His Passengers

Two drivers have died after a road crash in Asikesu in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern Region.

Reporting from the scene, Rainbow Radio’s Prince Collins Bening said the accident involved a taxi with registration number GR 6571-21 loaded with 5 passengers and a trotro bus.

He said the taxi was heading from Accra to Asamankese when it crashed with the trotro with registration number GW 6518-21.

The bus was heading from Asamankese to Accra upon reaching the curve at the cemetery lane in Asikesu, collided.

The taxi driver died on the spot whereas the trot to driver died later.

Five other passengers have sustained serious injuries and have been sent to the hospital.

The bodies of the drivers have been sent to the mortuary.
