The Inspector General of Police, Dr Akuffo Dampare and his administration has resolved to as much as possible fish out all criminals to create a serene environment for the citizens and people of Ghana. Even though all criminals cannot be arrested all at once, measures are put in place to minimise their operations in the country.
According to the Police Service, the robbers allegedly broke into a residence at Ajasco Red Top at Kokrobite and made away with three laptops, an iPhone 8 plus, three infinix Smartphones and Techno Cammon 7. They also took along a Bluetooth speaker, an extension board, 3 phone chargers, 2 laptop chargers and some money.
The incident was reported and the Police, with a special intelligence-led operation, embarked on an 8-hour covert operation and arrested three of the suspects; Benjamin Otoo, Tony Mensah Yedu, and Bismark Asabree at the spot at a hideout.
Upon further investigations, one of the suspects Bismark Asabree led the police to arrest the last suspect Nana Yaw Arko at his hideout at Labadi. These suspects also had in their possession a police vest, 20 assorted phones, a taxi cab and a locally manufactured gun. All the four suspects are in Police custody and are being arraigned before court today, 22nd November 2021.
