Three people have suffered in a tragic accident on the Kumasi-Techiman road which is considered as one of the most horrible and a more sorrowful accident on a motor as one dies and two crashes down leaving their legs in a broken condition.
The three victims Collins Ntim aka ‘Kolege’ is a security man at Namong SDA Hospital, Aborah Kofi Collins known as ‘abodie’ is an SHS graduate at Namong SHS, and Appiah, a teacher known by colleagues as Brizzy were friends from Offinso, Namong who were attending a funeral rite at Abofour on a motor bike on Sunday 14th November, 2021
The rest of the sympathizers who attended the funeral celebration went to Abofour by bus and they entreated the two victims Brizzy and Abodie to join the bus but they didn’t heed to that call and rather opted to join Collins, the deceased on his motorbike.
On their way to Abofour, they were able to reach their destination safely and even on their mission to returning back to Namong, the other colleagues cautioned Brizzy and Abodie to join the bus rather than the motor but they put a deaf ear to their colleagues in the bus and rather joined Collins Ntim, the motorbike rider who took them to Abofour again.
Whiles they were coming to Namong, the motorbike run out of fuel and they had no option than to stop at Sakam in a filling station one of the villages in the Offinso District and which is closer to Offinso Namong to purchase a fuel.
Immediately they finished filling the bike with the fuel, they came to the roadside as the rider steadily look at the other side of the road to check for their safety and they realised there was no car coming from the Techiman road and immediately they stepped on the road, a vehicle heading to Techiman from Kumasi inadvertently crossed them, knocked them and crashed them down
At the spot, Collins, the driver died whereas Brizzy and Abodie sustained serious injuries on their legs and as a matter of urgency, they were rushed to the St Patrick’s Government Hospital, Maase-Offinso
