A father who could not stand the thought of his son prioritizing church activities over teaching job has reportedly stabbed the son who is currently being treated for knife wounds in an unnamed hospital.

The incident is said to have occurred around the Suyani area in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Information available to Planbfmonline.com indicates that the father whose name is mentioned as Opanin Frank Kwabi realizing that his son Frank Kwabi did not go to teach in an unnamed private school where he has been employed as a teacher, confronted him.

Opanin Kwabi is reported to have received information from his friend, the proprietor of the private school that Frank had not reported for work; a situation which compelled the father to rush to the Charismatic Evangelical Worshippers Church, where Frank was leading a youth programme of the church when he should have been at post in the school.

Further details on the incident stated that Opanin on reaching the church quizzed his son why he was at the youth programme when he should have been in school teaching. Opanin Kwabi is said to have demanded that his son follows him home so they could discuss why he was not in school.

According to the information, Frank reportedly told his father that the intended discussion could be wait as he was busy attending to the church activity and would prefer they held the discuss later when he returned home adding that he had sought permission from his proprietor who happens to be Opanin Kwabi’s friend.

Infuriated by his son’s attitude, Opanin Kwabi reportedly stabbed Frank from behind in the back as the son walked away from him to go continue with his church activity.

Frank was rushed to Suyani Government Hospital where he is currently receiving treatment for knife wounds.

His father meanwhile has been arrested and helping the police with investigation into the alleged incident.

Opanin Kwabi has reportedly narrated to the police the reason for his action stating that after Frank’s education, employment was hard to come by and so he Opanin Kwabi was compelled to contact the proprietor of the unnamed private school who offered to help by employing Frank.

Opanin Kwabi is said to have expressed disappointment over his son’s attitude towards the teaching job, hence his attack on Frank to warn him to take his job serious.
