Ambulance Transporting Burnt Victim Involved In Accident

An ambulance which was conveying a burnt victim, an unnamed woman, to the hospital in Agyamasu in the Ashanti Region was yesterday, Wednesday, November 3, 2021 involved in an accident.

A source in the area, the said Ambulance was called from its base in Obuasi East and is reported to be transporting the unnamed woman who has serious burns from the Obuasi Government Hospital when it was involved in the accident.

According to the source, the Ambulance immediately after picking up the woman, was heading to the Komfo Anokye Hospital in the Ashanti region when the accident occurred. She is said to have earlier received first aid at the Obuasi Government Hospital.

The source continued that while transporting the woman to the hospital, a KIA Rhino which had attempted overtaking some vehicles ended up colliding with the Ambulance head-on.

Some medics who were on board the Ambulance and the driver reportedly sustained injuries, as well as the patient.

All the injured persons are currently receiving treatment at Obuasi Government Hospital except the woman who was later transported to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
