Tema Local Council Of Churches Throws Support For Anti-LGBTQI+ Bill

Tema Local Council Of Churches Throws Support For Anti-LGBTQI+ Bill
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Tema Local Council of Churches (TLCC) has declared support for the passage of the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Right and Ghanaian Family Value Bill 2021 currently before Parliament.

Speaking on Plan B FM ‘Nkosuo Nsem’ with Ohene Addo, Rev Francis Tetteh said Parliament owed it a duty to protect the norms and values and safeguard the future of the country.

Rev. Francis noted that, the activities of LGBTQI+ persons could be too high for the country to bear if Parliament failed to pass the bill.

“We are calling on Parliament as a matter of urgency to come clean on this matter.  They should be bold and courageous and not be deterred by both internal and external forces who are against the passage of the bill” he intimated.

He went on to say that, the activities of LGBTQI+ could plunge the nation into serious health challenges, including HIV/Aids infections.

In conclusion, he called on Ghanaians to vote out any MP that opposes the bill. He also urge Christians to stick to the teachings in the bible and not to fall for this evil act so they don’t incur the wrath of God.
