A driver who recklessly displayed his driving skills with a Benz car in traffic around the Airport  junction will appear before a law court later today, Monday, October 25, 2021.

Video of the man, who is identified as Kofi Sasa, went viral when he drove his grey Mercedes Benz at the Airport junction off the 37- Legon road in Accra in a manner that could have endangered other motorists’ lives.

The video is believed to have been filmed on Saturday, October 23, 2021 by someone who may have been around the scene at the time he was recklessly drifting his Mercedes Benz car. This happened at a time when other motorists had been signaled to wait for others from a certain direction to move.

Sasa is seen in the video driving into the middle of the four-lane road and turning his car in circles and subsequently drove off before the traffic light turned green.

He is reported to have turned himself in to the police on Sunday, October 24, 2021 morning with some persons believe to be his relations at the Airport Police Station where the incident is being investigated.

A source told this news portal that Sasa was immediately detained after the police went through the processes involved in detaining a suspect and make an appearance before a law court later this morning.

Supt John Atanga, the MTTD Divisional Commander, warned members of the general public to be careful with how they use the roads. He added that they must at all times respect traffic regulations which are aimed at saving their lives.

Concluding he reminded them to remember that the police has cameras fixed at various points to check some of these reckless drivers who always defy traffic regulations.
