15 Passengers In Critical Condition After Assin Accident

Fifteen people are currently battling for their lives after the vehicle they were travelling was involved in an accident that was caused by the carelessness of a driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident.

The unfortunate incident occurred today, Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Assin in the Central region.

Narrating the incident which preceded the accident, a lady who only mentioned her name as Auntie Rose, noted that a sprinter vehicle from Kumasi ended up crashing with another vehicle from which was travelling from Winneba.

She pointed out the driver of sprinter vehicle with the registration number AG 9949-15 was trying to overtake a vehicle in front of him when the accident occurred.  She added that beside the 15 persons in are critical condition, other passengers on board also sustained minor injuries and were sent to the nearby health facilities for treatment.

According the lady, all the fifteen passengers who sustained various degrees of injuries are passengers who were travelling in the vehicles involved in the accidents but could not say how many of them were in any of the vehicles.

She told this news portal that the injured persons were immediately rushed to the Saint Francis Hospital in the area for treatment.
