5 Die In Gory Accident In Central Region

Five people have reportedly died when the vehicle they were travelling was involved in a gory accident on the Dominase-Mankessim road in the Mfantseman Municipality in the Central Region.

 

The accident is said to have occurred today, Saturday, October 23, 2021 between a fully loaded taxi and a trailer with the registration number GE-2001-11.

 

Some persons, who claimed to be eye witnesses to the accident, told Plan-B FM that that the trailer which was travelling on top speed suddenly somersaulted while negotiating a sharp curve. The eye witnesses continued that the taxi which was travelling behind the truck rammed into the trailer killing all five on board the taxi instantly.

 

The deceased at the time of filing this story, were yet to be identified by the police who later arrived at the scene and retrieved the bodies to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

 

He driver of the truck together with his mate who sustained some injuries were later rushed to the Saltpond Government Hospital for treatment.

 

The Police have has asked for enough time to conduct investigation into the accident adding that it is too early to comment beyond confirmation of the death of the five occupants of the taxi.
