MCE Nominee For Yendi Municipality Finally Confirmed

Members of the Yendi Municipal Assembly in the Northern Region have finally confirmed President Akufo Addo’s nominee for Municipal Chief Executive, Ahmed Yussuf Abubakar.

Out of the 42 assembly members who voted, 34 voted YES, representing 81 percent, while 8 voted NO, representing 19 percent.

Following his confirmation, Ahmed Yussuf Abubakar thanked President Akufo-Addo for his faith in him and thanked assembly members for voting to confirm him.

He informed the good people of Yendi municipality of his resolve to maintain the development program he started for the municipality’s development.

Mr. Abubakar offered to work with the assembly members and chiefs to provide chances for the youth to contribute to the area’s development.

Mr. Abubakar was among one of the MCE’s who were earlier rejected by members of the Yendi municipal assembly.
