According to the police, the swoops took place concurrently between Wednesday, September 14th, and Monday, September 20th, 2021, in all of the Region’s fifteen (15) police divisions.

The apprehended people were checked and profiled, according to the police, and those found guilty were brought before the several courts in the region.

Some of the suspects according to the police were remanded in custody and ordered to appear in court at a later date, while others were given court bail and ordered to report.

The police have also reported that from Saturday, September 25th, to Tuesday, September 28th, 2021, various divisions performed motorbike swoops and intercepted 792 motorbikes, which were seized.

Some people were arrested, and they were all requested to present the documentation that covered the motorcycles for inspection and verification.

The Police Command reassured the public that it would continue to fight to reduce crime to the bare minimum and to relieve citizens’ fears.
