Lamashegu Police Station, NEDCO Office Vandalise By Angry Youth Over Police Brutality

Lamashegu Police Station, NEDCO Office Vandalise By Angry Youth Over Police Brutality
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Lamashegu police station in Tamale, the Northern regional capital, has been vandalized by a group of enraged youth.

The destruction was part of a protesting youth’s outrage over local police abuse.

The rowdy adolescents initially wrecked property belonging to the Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) before venting their rage on the police officers in the Lamashegu Police station

.They attacked the police station with stones, shattering windows and doors.

The violence follows the release of a viral video showing police officers manhandling individuals suspected of illegally connecting electricity to their homes.

The four police officers seen on the amateur video were detained by the police administration.
