A KIA truck with the registration number GE 6490-16 took off from cape coast, heading to Assin Fosu.

The driver loaded the truck with a lot of heavy loads and when he got to toll booth in the Central Region, the brake of the truck failed.

The driver realized that, his brake has failed so he tried to reduce the gears but due to the heavy load in the truck, the vehicle couldn’t stopped at that moment and the driver crashed into most of the vehicles infront of him.

The vehicles the driver crashed were Hyundai Taxi Jet, Toyota Yaris and a vehicle that was loaded with fish.

Luckily, a lot of street hawkers saw the truck approaching uncontrollably to their direction so most of them escaped but the truck went ahead and injured the toll booth attendant, 3-months breastfeeding mother and other two (2) civilians.
