Announcing the suspension of the registration exercise today, Thursday, July 1, 2021, the NIA in a statement noted that it is amid the pending of recruitment of permanent staff, a process it said, is being assisted by the Public Service Commission (PSC) and office of the Head of Civil Service (OHCS).
According to the released statement, applicants who could not go the Regional and District offices for their cards before the suspension will have their cards issued to them when the offices are re-opened for business.
The statement continued that the NIA will continue to operate at all 34 branches of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Registrar General Department (RGD), nationwide where NIA has co-located it services.
