Famous Nigerian television evangelist and founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Temitope Balogun Joshua has died, according to an announcement made by his church.
His church, SCOAN confirmed the news of his passing in a statement on Sunday morning June 6, 2021. His death comes six days to his 58th birthday with SCOAN members all over the world expected to join in the celebration.
TB Joshua as he was popularly referred to was born on July 1963 in Odo state, Nigeria.
“On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet TB Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service,” part of the SCOAN statement read.
Continuing the church state that “God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.”
The statement further stated that “As Prophet TB Joshua says, “The greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it”.
According the church T. B Joshua’s virtues were extolled stressing that he left a “legacy of service and sacrifice to God’s Kingdom that is living for generations yet unborn.”
The statement noted that the famous television prophet’s last words were “Watch and pray.”
Concluding , the church noted, while thanking all well-wishers and sympathisers for their love, prayers and concern at such a difficult time, it requested privacy for T. B Joshua’ family.
As at the time of filing this story the cause of death of the 57-year-old was yet to be made known.
