Zimbabwean Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has unveiled commemorative postage stamps highlighting the country’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, state broadcaster ZBC reported.

“It is a commemorative stamp that will help preserve the history of the fight against the pandemic,” Chiwenga said.

Like any member of the global community, Zimbabwe has borne the brunt of the pandemic which had claimed 1,521 lives from 36,858 infections as of Tuesday.

To curb the spread of the pandemic, the country has so far vaccinated nearly 73,000 people with assistance from China and India.
