Motorists in Accra and its environs have been warned to intensify their security in traffic as some miscreants have adopted new method in attacking people and robbing off their valuable at knife point.
The call was made by a man who goes by the name Daniel Kwabena Oteng and identifies himself on social media (Facebook) as branch manager at Société Général.
Taking to social media platform (Facebook) to share his traumatizing experience, Oteng noted that at exactly 7:30 am on March 6, 2021, he was driving together with his wife when the incident occurred. He continued that there was traffic that morning and when they got to the Glico’s headquarters area at Adabraka, a man walked to his side of their car and pulled a knife on him.
He said at that time he had his window rolled down and there was little he could do. According to him what surprised and scared him was the fact that there about ten other cars with their occupants watching as the armed robber demanded for money or he the robber stabs him.
He said he quickly gave money on him, to the robber as he did not want to be harmed in the attack. He also said he could not bring himself together to imagine how his wife who was in the car with him would handle the sight of blood gushing out of a stab wound the robber would have inflicted on him.
He urged other motorists to be careful when they are in traffic. He encouraged them to roll up their window and if possible keep some defensive gadgets they could use in protecting themselves in an event that such attack occurs.
