Executive Secretary of the National Coalition for Proper Human Sexual Rights and Family Values, (NCPHSRFV), Moses Foh Amoaning has welcomed the President’s decision not to legalize Homosexuality, same sex marriage and also known as LGBTQ.
President Akufo Addo over the weekend reiterated his commitment not to legalize same sex marriage, which has generated a lot of controversy in the country in the past week.
He made the remark at the St. Michael and All Angels Cathedral in Asante Mampong during the installation of the Second Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Ghana.
“I have said it before, and let me stress it again, that it will not be under the Presidency of Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo that same-sex marriage will be legal”, He said
But speaking to Ohene Addo on Plan B FM morning Show dubbed “Nkosuo Nsem”, Lawyer Foh Amoaning commended the President for coming out publicly to speak against same say marriage.
“We’ve engaged people and those in govt to ensure that a comprehensive legislation bill to deal with this LGBTQI matter”. We hope when this comes into force it will criminalize homosexuality and same sex marriage in our country,” We’ve located almost all their offices and hideouts and we are going to clamp down on them,” He said
“These things started mostly in our schools, especially the SHS’s. Peer pressure, prostitution, financial challenges, poverty, rape are some of the causes of this devilish acts. Sometimes biological hormones cause this.” He remarked.
“We are urging every parent to be more vigilant on their kids online; especially the kind of movies, cartoons and documentaries they watch that depicts homosexuality”
In conclusion, the Legal practitioner said his coalition and renowned professors of psychology are doing their bit to help, educate and support them to revive their lives.
He further encouraged the citizenry to report persons who are into homosexuality to their outfit for counselling and not to take the law into their hands and assault them.
