Going To Court May Not Be For Victory, But For Other Reasons- Private Legal Practitioner

Lawyer Owiredu Donkor, a Private legal Practitioner has revealed that sometimes some people go to Court over issues of legal matters not because they genuinely want to win the case in a Court.

According to him, there are occasions where an individual may go to Court just because he/she has a certain agenda which may be far from actually winning the case legally in the law court.

Speaking to Ohene Addo, host of Plan B fm’s Morning Flagship Program dubbed ‘’Nkosuo Nsem’’, Lawyer Owiredu explained that, there have been several occasions where some persons went to Court, to have their case heard only to make a U-turn and pray the Court to discontinue the case.

Stating an example of such situation, Lawyer Owiredu noted that there was a time an individual went to the Law Court over his legal issue. The matter which was sent to Court, caught the attention of the media with a lot of publication being carried by these media houses. Three days later, that individual went to the law court and requested that the law court bring to an end the case which he had earlier prayed the Court to preside over.

With such narrations, he added that, some persons do not go to the Law Court because they want to win their case but rather they may have done so to pursue an agenda.
