Jean Mensa Remains At Post, EC Debunks Runaway Rumours

The Electoral Commission has urged the public to disregard information circulating on social media stating that the EC chair, Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensah has travelled outside the Country after declaring Election 2020 Presidential results.

This according to the Commission follows recent rumours that the Chairperson together with her deputies sought refuge in another country following the official declaration on Wednesday, December 9, 2020.

In a statement sighted by Plan B FM, the Commission states clearly that Mrs. Jean Mensa and her deputies are still at post going on with their official duties as expected.

“We wish to state that Mrs. Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, as well as all the Commissioners are at post discharging their legally mandated duties”, the statement read.
