Some sections of the Sakumono School Complex in Tema has this morning been wrecked by fire.

The incident according to sources, started at about 4am on Thursday morning.

When Plan B FM reporters visited the scene, it was observed that the Kindergarten Block of the school had been ravaged by the fire.

Speaking to Mr. Samuel Danis Tettey, an eyewitness who happens to be a Security officer of the school, he disclosed that the incident started around where the electricity meter is situated but to the best of his knowledge, the cause of the fire remains unknown.

Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have since been able to bring the fire under control.

This incident comes on the back a similar circumstance that occurred on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the Odawna market, where about 80 stalls were consumed by fire.
