Decorated Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as ‘Sarkodie’ has in his latest release ‘Happy Day’, thrown his weight behind sitting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ahead of the general elections this year.
In the song, the Ghanaian Music Industry bigwig featuring the reigning VGMA Artiste of The Year, Kuami Eugene, spoke about the good developments and social interventions the NPP government had introduced while reflecting on the governance of past NDC government which was filled with issues of inflation and ‘dumsor’.
Sarkodie talked about Akufo-Addo’s time as President, pointing to stable electricity and free Senior High School and beseeched H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo to continue his good works saying “Nana Toaso” which means “Nana carry on”.
“Happy Day” was produced by current VGMA Producer of The Year, MOG Beatz and also mixed and mastered by Possigee with visuals directed by Prince Dovlo.
