Jacob Teye Partey, the father of Thomas Partey is delighted with his son’s deadline day transfer to English premier league side Arsenal.
The elated former footballer could not hide his joy when he heard the news that his son was on the verge of sealing a deal with Arsenal Football Club.
Arsenal confirmed the signing of the 27-year-old Ghanaian midfielder from Atletico Madrid where he spent eight years on Monday’s transfer deadline on a five-year deal worth £45million.
Speaking exclusively Okocha Jay on the Ka W’adwen Sports Show, Jacob Partey described his son’s move as a blessing for the Partey family.
“I am happy all the hard work has paid off for my son, and I know he will make all of as proud in England”, he added.
Mr Teye Partey also took time to advise upcoming footballers.
“I will advise the youth who wish to play football to train very hard and stay away from bad company and women and also concentrate on building a wonderful career for themselves” he admonished.
