Running mate for the National Democratic Party (NDP), Peter Kwame Asamoah, has vaunted the party’s chances ahead of the December general elections, insisting, the NDP “is in the race to win”.

Speaking to Plan B FM reporters, on Saturday,26th September, at an event which was held  to unveil him as the party’s running mate for the forthcoming general elections, Mr Asamoah defended the NPD’s chances in the December polls, asserting that the fortunes of the party cannot be brushed aside on the mere basis of political longevity.

He reiterated that it would be erroneous on the part of political observers to question the chances of the NDP just because the party is not a traditional political heavyweight in Ghana.

The 45 year old supply chain and warehousing expert who has  also served in  banking transaction roles in the past is of the view that the  NDP’s presidential candidate, Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings is in good standing leave the political space astounded on election day.

“In politics anything can happen,we are not in this to just add to the number”, he reaffirmed.
