Election 2024: Deployment of military is not what Ghanaians want – Kofi Adusei-Poku

A National Communication team member of Movement for Change, John Kofi Adusei-Poku is urging the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akufo Dampare and and all other state security agencies to step up their game in the upcoming general election.

It is the responsibility of the Ghana Police Service to make sure that there is peace in election.

The intention of deploying the military to polling stations on election day is not what Ghanaians want. Some African Countries have done it and most of the Citizenry or electorates lost their lives.

In a panel discussion on Plan B FM’s ‘Nkosuo Nsem’ show hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on Thursday, 7 November, 2024, Adusei-Poku made it clear that, military deployment to polling stations would not help.

“There is no need for a single soul to be lost in the 2024 election, so the IGP and his team should do the needful to prevent chaos if any” he urged.

“Don’t try to deploy military to any of the polling stations. Ghanaians have already made up their minds the Candidate they will vote for and no amount of intimidations will change it” he stated.

Adusei-Poku further said that, Ghanaians should open their eyes and vote for a Candidate who has the country at heart butt not be deceived by any political figure.
