A 56-year-old farmer, Kwasi Adutwum, has reportedly died following an attack by a swarm of bees at Nkwasiatan, a farming community in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.

According to reports, the deceased had gone to his farmland on Tuesday, December 10 but did not return after several hours.

Concerned residents therefore initiated a search.

Alexander Kwasi Yeboah, the Assemblyman for the Nkwasiatan electoral area, recounted the incident.

“When we went to search for him, we found his lifeless body covered in bees,” he said.

The police in Nyinahin were notified, and the body of the deceased was transported to the Bibiani Government Hospital mortuary for preservation and further investigation.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
