43-year-old Labourer In trouble For Allegedly Raping A Farmer In Her Farm

43-year-old Labourer In trouble For Allegedly Raping A Farmer In Her Farm
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A farm labourer; Akwesi Nyarko, has found himself in trouble after he was caught raping a farmer on her farm this afternoon. Akwesi who showed no remorseful actions for his sins was slapped three times by the husband of the farmer before he was rescued by others.

Samuel Afrifa, speaking on the issue, tearful narrated how he caught the farm labourer on top of his wife. I was coming from my farm when I heard murmuring. I thought someone was dying and followed the sound from the bush to my wife’s farm. She was crying while Akwesi was on top of her.

I picked wood and with the edge, hit Akwesi before I was able to self arrest him. I shouted for help and other farmers within the area came to help me. He was going to kill my wife in addition and that was why she was crying while he was on top of her, Samuel Afrifa, the husband to the victim said after the incident

Samuel, caught Akwesi Nyarko red-handed while he was on top of his wife. Akwesi Nyarko who showed no remorseful actions for his crimes accused the victim of inviting him and denied raping her.

Akwesi Nyarko in his statement to the Mim police, blamed the Victim, Yaa Afrifa for inviting him to sleep with her. This is not the first time we are doing this. We have been doing this every time she needs my help.

I weed her farm, and she pays me in kind. I have never raped her and if she will speak the truth, everyone will know I have never and I did not rape her. I am a labourer and she is a farmer. I weed and people pay me. It is with this job I have been doing to feed my family and nobody has complained of me raping her because I don’t rape people.

Ante Yaa called me some time ago, and she told me to weed her farm for her. I did it and she told me she didn’t have the money but I could take her as my secret girlfriend. That was how it all started.

We have been doing this for over two years. Anytime she wants me to weed her farm, she calls me to the farm, and when I am done with the weeding, she will invite me to her body. We use plantain covers to cover the ground and we do it there.

I know she was married but that is her fault. If she had paid me money, I wouldn’t have done it. She was the one who told me to sleep with her and I did it because she is my girlfriend, Akwesi Nyarko boldly stated to the Mim Police after his arrest.

Ante Yaa (Yaa Afrifa) has denied the allegations of Akwesi Nyarko and caused him of turning the case against her since he was caught. Ante Yaa, receiving treatment at the hospital, stated that she was changing her farm clothes into her normal clothes to leave for the house when Akwesi Nyarko pinned her to the ground and threatened her with death if she resisted.

I was in tears when they found me, and if I had planned this, why would I have cried, Ante Yaa told Mim police. Akwesi Nyarko had stated in his statement that, Ante Yaa’s cries, was how she loved to enjoy herself and that was nothing.

The police are closely investigating the case as both sides continue to accuse each other.
